Summer In The City- Friday.

I know this is long, LONG overdue but here is my story from Summer in the City.
So after a long night of travel, Julie, Micky and I arrived in London at about six o'clock in the morning. We headed to the underground and luckily we were an hour early so rush hour was yet to happen. We got to the hostel, which was luckily only about a two minute walk from the underground, and tried to check in. Easier said than done. I was talking to the receptionist when she asked someone I wasn't expecting: "Can I see your passport please" Now at this point two things were going through my mind: 1. OOOHH SHIT! 2. I'm gonna kill Cara for not mentioning I needed a passport. On the plus side we were allowed to use different forms of I.D to check in, and the bad side? We couldn't get into the room until the other three people got here, and they weren't coming to the hostel first they were going straight to the gathering. So we had the joys of sitting around with nothing to do for the next four hours! Joy. I was literately falling asleep in the lounge so I jumped in for a shower, and had to get dried and clothed in the small cubicle, which was rather hard.

Anyway we headed out and walked along the Thames, drawing on trees that had wallpaper on them so people could leave messages. It weird, right now, someone is reading "Youtube was here" on a tree. We heading over to the Jubilee Gardens and saw a small clutter of people, so we headed over and asked "Are you 'tubers?" thank jebus they answered yes or that would've been embarrassing. More and more youtubers arrived and we all buzzed about saying hi and getting everyone to sign out SITC publications. It was soo weird seeing everyone in 3D instead of on a computer screen. At that point a flash of purple caught my eye and I looked around to see the very person I wanted to see. "SHANNON!" I screamed and started bolting towards her, as her eyes lit up after seeing it was me. It was amazing being able to actually hug a friend from another continent! A little while we split into separate groups for the tours, and off we went.

Walking along I managed to meet alot of lovely new friends, including another Canadian girl called Shannon (weird huh?). So we went to the Tate Modern, then headed offer the bridge that gets destroyed in Harry Potter, to St Paul's Cathedral and then up to leicester square. We got lost on the way and all the while I was on the phone to Lewis, telling him where to go but luckily we found him and Spencer at leicester square. We all split up to go get some food and Lewis, Micky, Julie and I headed to Mcdonalds, where Julie and I grossed out Micky by eating our chips with marshmallow fluff. As we were leaving we ran into another group of tubers like Alexthemagix, Who was about the nicest guy I've ever met, and Gary (Cheektv)and we chatted to them a little before heading out. The next while was spent in the grass square of leicester square chatting and such before the heavens opened and forced us under trees and crammed under umbrellas, which was kinda funny.

We completed the tour when they rain stopped and made it to Big Ben before the rain came back twice as hard. We made it to the arcade near the London Eye before deciding to head back to the hostel. Now checking into the hostel was the most stressful thing EVER!! I don't want to go into detail but I had to check our whole group in and get their ID while sneaking a 7th person into our room. So pretty stressful. So sitting calm and snugg in our room we were able to relax at last. Lewis and I headed out for a walk and had a nice little chat before heading back and into the bar for a while. Then off to bed to sleep for the first time in about over 24 hours.

No I'm Not On Drugs.

This post may be the most random thing you were ever read! But I swear it's not my fault. Cara wants us to blog about one of the following:

1. Talk about your latest crush (hee hee, I sound like a tweeny magazine!). But seriously, I want to hear about cute guys and/or girls working in coffee shops, etc. I will enjoy it :D

2. If you were to have any themed cake for your birthday, what would it be? And don't say gluten-free Zanblam, that is not a theme! <3

3. Tell me about your day in great detail. What you were wearing, if you ate anything yummy. And I want lots of detail about the weather!

So I've decided I can only really do number two cause things are going well with a crush and I don't want to jinx it and I can't really tell you about my day cause I've only been up half an hour but it's sunny and it's my birthday so yaaaayy!!

So a themed cake? Well I already had a themed cake made for my 7th birthday and it was made to look like Darth Maul from Star Wars Episode I. It was rather awesome! the horns stuck out and everything....yes I know I'm a geek but remember i was seven! But I always dreamed that my perfect birthday cake would be a specialy made Buffy the Vampire Slayer one! How awesome would that be?!?! It would have green icing as grass and have edible crypts and characters and vampires that were standing on the top!! Maybe one day when I'm rich and famous I'll find the world's best cake maker and get him to make me it. I remember the cake for my cousins' 21st was BRIGHT pink. Just imagine what that must have done to me! Bouncing off the walls me thinks. Julie found the recipe for a 3D penguin cake online and it looks awesome. We're tempted to make it for Cara's birthday cause she's scared of penguins. HEHE.

Yeah but there's my random post for you Cara hope you love it. And yeah IT'S MY 18TH BIRTHDAY TODAY SO WOOOOOOO!! And yes I was aware the caps were on so :P

A Depressing Post From Jamie

So today I went to my friend's 18th birthday. I haven't seen her in about five years so it was bound to be a bit awkward but to be honest it just really got me thinking.

When she came down the stairs not only was she super tall but was really beautiful, I mean I've known her from the day I was born so I always thought she was beautiful. But it was still kind of a culture shock to see this beautiful 18 year old girl standing infront of you when you can still remember both of you trick-or-treating as Aladdin and Tinkerbell at age four. I know this shouldn't get me as upset as it has but to be honest it just had me kind of afraid. Afraid that someone you've known your whole life can stand infront of you as a stranger.

I suppose it's just kinda a fear of abandonment and that before I know it everything will just slip through my fingers like sand, I know this won't be the case but a while back my best friend just completely cut me off! I gave up so much of my life just so we wouldn't fall apart and she threw it back in my face and I'll admit it kinda destroyed a little bit of me that I'll never get back. It's been over a year and she hasn't even made the effort to continue being friends. I'm not gonna say I regret moving to the same school as she did cause it was that or the chav school down the road and I met lots of amazing people who I love but it still hurts alot when I think of all we've been through and realize it means nothing to her. Also training to be an actor has made me realize that if I make the big time I'll never have a normal life and I'll have to give up soo much just for my carreer. I mean acting is one of the only things I'm truely passionate about and love doing it but there is a chance that it could break down more friendships as we grow apart.

I'm sorry that this is a really depressing post but it's how I feel right now and really had to vent it out. I hope you guys know that I really love you all and it would hurt to lose any of you but hopefully that'll never happen.

Jamie's Day Out....Not to be confused with the film Baby's day out!

I think you can actually see the cobwebs gathering on this blog! Oh well!

Today was a fun little mini gathering at the Edinburgh Festival! Which of course invloved getting up early! (grr damn body clock that loves my bed too much). But anyway Julie and I headed off to get the coach up, but popped into town first to get Lorcan's passpoet. We were the first to get there until David and Sophie arrived. We sat down and chatted till Cara arrived and of course there was alot of hugs and love all around. We were sitting at Costa (well I was standing cause Cara stole my chair!) And you know the way when you see someone out of the side of your eye and think it's someone you know? Well that hapenned to me only on the second look I realised it WAS someone I knew it was Lorcan!! Without thinking I had pure yelled "OH MY GOD!!" Making the others turn around and see him and be all "Oh Lorcan is here. What are you doing here?" and all that shizz. Speaking of shizz. That's who arrived next, Fiona as she is known to most people! lol Love ya Fi!

When the others all got there we went about the Royal Mile to look at the street acts and collect the leaflets for shows that we could go see. There was a good act that a guy did which involved; Knives, fire, a bed of nails and a fat guy. (Don't ask) But it was super cool and Kerr got a hug off the guy who tried to mount him! Isn't it Kerr that is the whore? Anyway Kerr and I decided to see who could get the most hugs and he won by three! See if that guy dressed as Iron Man had hugged me I sooo woulda won! But nnnooo!

So we headed down to Cara's student union where she works, which was awesome, just saying. And geuss who we saw? Simon Amstell!! Yes THE Simon Amstell from Never Mind The Buzzcocks! At this point we all turned into crazy people with Fiona and Kerr stalking him and Me asking Cara if I can go lick his hair....Don't judge me. But then he went away and we were sad and Fiona wouldn't shut up about it, for realz! Yeah Cara and I kept saying For Realz all day, I don't know why but we did so get over it or I'll steal your hamster! Oh yeah I went there! So we hung out in Cara's other student union which was across from the E4 Udderbelly!! And Man was that a huge purple upside down cow or what? So we just hung out and of course again my sex life (or lacking of such) was brought up in conversation several times thank you guys very much! But then Cara had to go to work and I got all sad.

After that Fiona, the square root of Cara squared and Sophie had to go get the train so we decided to take them there....but we got lost....4 times! And then I got all lost by myself and was all afraid and stuff but then I found everyone! Woo! See? happy endings and all that shizz. So those three left and we, in true gathering style, hung in starbucks for ages, where Kirsty and I worked up and ellaborite story about how the Starbucks people didn't like us bringing food in so they kidnapped Darren and poured hot coffee on him and stuck Bagettes up places they're not meant to go. And then we all got the bus home and everything was all good! Except Iron Man didn't hug me so I yelled "Spiderman is better!" And that totally showed him.

And now it's all late and stuff but just to say thanks guys for a fun day out cause I love hanging with you all!

Oh yeah just to say I'm 18 in 8 days!! wooo! Then I'm going to Summer In The City then when I get back onwards to Shetland!! Gonna be great fun! Also Me and Ceidiog have totally already planned a Desperate Housewives/ Gossip Girl sleepover so we can all giggle and be drunk and such and watch America's best outports!

Geuss Who's Back?

Well me obviously!

Hey guys. Been kinda neglective this because of two reasons:

1. I had nothing good to say. and 2. I just kept forgetting!

So how is everyone? Hope you guys are enjoying the summer. Also I'm 18 next month!!! woooo I can drink!!...well legally that is! haha. And then 3 days later I head off for Summer In The City! It's gonna be sooo amazing!!

Nothing really new to report. True Blood is getting more awesome by every episode. I love how every episode ends on cliffhanger, it's a great way to keep you interested and want to see more. (althought that's pretty much the same thing)

Got a few new videos planned and I'll make them soon. One is about how everyone is striving for perfection when there is honestly no such thing. The other is gonna be about the increasing amount of hype surrounding the Twilight franchise and the fact that now it's just taking the piss.

Anyway this is a kinda crap post so I'm off to bed. Night guys.

Opposite Viewpoint On The Elite.

As you all probably know (and if you don't, please come out from under the rock.) most of the time youtube cannot be discussed without the topic of the Elite coming up. Now I'm not blacklisting anyone or going: "oh he's soo elite! So is she! bla bla bla" Personaly I do believe that there is an Elite and they themselves know that they are. Obviously it's not fair to just judge people as "Elite" After all they are still people just like you and me but some of the reasons are considered Elite are crap to be honest.

The main reason I'm talking about is the youtubers in the Elite that are very good friends. How is this a crime? It's sooo amazingly easy to make brillaint friends on youtube and before you know it they are your best friends IRL. I know I'm close friends with a select few tubers and love them with all my heart, we hang out together as FRIENDS not YOUTUBERS so how should that be a problem? If people in the Elite want to hang out together then let them, they could be great friends. But if they start to associate it with youtube then it's a problem cause it's not friends hanging out. It's youtubers hanging out but also leaving other youtubers out! if you're treating it like a gathering don't send email invites post a video and invite everyone or it's just being cruel.

Also subscribers obviously play alot into the whole Elite thing. Some people are driven by subscribers and that is why they are not doing youtube not for the main reason they were doing it in the first place! Alot of the most famous youtubers are only subscribed because others had subscribed to them. It's the whole: "Oh they're big on youtube I'll sub them then never watch their videos!" Subscribing to someone is not a trend like Pokemon cards! You sub someone because you enjoy their videos and what they have to say. Not just cause they are (or are in contact with) a big youtuber. I myself have suffered from this problem as someone I know who has posted two gathering videos and an apple store video has about three less subs than me for the plain reason: They are dating an Elite. I'm not driven by subscribers but I work hard on my videos and find it unfair that it should be undermined by a Youtube Hierachy at work.

The amount of Subscribers does not equal the amount that find you enjoyable and special. Who is the most subbed on youtube? Fred! And why? Because he's a joke. A bandwagon to jump on just like Chris Crocker and others who are watched cause they are known.

I'm not trying to be nasty or upset anyone. If you knew me you'd know I would never hurt someone of purpose but certain things have to be and SHOULD be said. What gives Elite members the right to ignore more miror youtubers at gatherings? Or to act as if they are better than the very people who are subscribed to them and have made them as big as they are. You're a huge sucsessful youtube? How much does that mean if you're a horrible, stuck up person to boot? AGAIN! The whole being a group of friends means nothing but acting as if we are nothing when we are YOU only a year or two later is shit! If this creates a shitload of backlash I don't care I just had to make my feeling known. I love being on youtube and I love the people on it but why should I have to sit back and see us be torn apart? That's all I will say on this topic I hope. And to the Elite members who think they ARE better: Get it sorted!
